Questo doppio vinile è prezioso come sono preziose le canzoni degli U2.

E lo sono state fin da subito, infatti quando uscì nel 2006 l’album 18 Singles era già la quarta raccolta celebrativa di una band ancora in attività.

I brani erano tutti successi precedenti, cui si aggiungevano due inediti – The Saints Are Coming e Window in the Skies – e una bonus track, I will follow.

Nei Paesi anglosassoni l’album fu presentato con alcuni brani cantati dal vivo nelle tournée effettuate in quei luoghi, nel tempo.

Inutile dire che With Or Without You è la traccia che fa la differenza, insieme a One e ad Elevation.
