The Number of the Beast, in questa ristampa del 2014 su vinile 180 grammi, è il terzo album degli Iron Maiden e, contrariamente ai primi due (un successo e un insuccesso) altalenanti, questo ha un’identità molto più definita.

The Number of the Beast è puro spirito heavy metal, è il marchio di fabbrica di quel che sarà la band per sempre.

Una curiosità: la canzone che dà il titolo al disco deriva da un incubo del bassista Steve Harris, descritto punto per punto.
